Figure 1A: Tested toothbrushes. A) Y-brush® features a single-sided and flexible mouthpiece equipped with six rows of Nylon bristles positioned at the occlusal, oral, and vestibular sides of the jaw. These bristles are angled at 45° against the tooth surfaces to simulate the bass method [11].

Figure 1B :Phillips® Sonicare 3100 is an electric toothbrush featuring a conventional brush head with scalped bristle lengths. The toothbrush operates at a frequency of 260 Hz (31000 brush movements/minute) with an up-and-- down brushing motion [12].
