United States
Biography
Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wuhan University in China in 1992. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Shanghai Institute of Physiology from 1992 to 1994 and in Louisiana State University School of Medicine from 1994 to 1998. He joined Johns Hopkins University Medical Institutions in the end of 1998 and was promoted to Instructor of Medicine in January 2001. He came to the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute at Ohio State in August 2002. He is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, OSU Wexner Medical Center. His research interests focus on mathematical modeling of the biotransport process of small molecules, reaction kinetics of heme proteins mediated nitric oxide (NO) metabolism in cardiovascular system, and the effect of NO metabolic kinetics on vascular NO bioavailability in hypoxia and in the development of cardiovascular diseases.
