Biography
Dr. Carolette Norwood is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Africana Studies and affiliate faculty in Women’s Studies and Sociology at the University of Cincinnati. She earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was an Andrew W Mellon Fellow at the Université de Montréal in African Demography.
Research Interest
Dr. Norwood’s research focuses on sexual health disparities. Namely, she is interested in the interactions between structural/spatial and interpersonal/individual factors that facilitate HIV and STIs infections among Africana Diasporic women.
