Biography
Andrea Poretti, MD, is a Swiss board certified pediatrician with an extensive training in pediatric neurology and experience in pediatric neuroimaging, particularly in disorders involving the cerebellum. After his residency in pediatrics and pediatric neurology in Zurich, Switzerland, he moved to the Division of Pediatric Radiology, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, where he is continuing his clinically orientated research in the field of pediatric neurology and neuroimaging focusing on cerebellar disorders and advanced neuroimaging techniques e.g. diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). He is the author/co-author of about 80 peer reviewed scientific paper and of 22 book chapters. He has given about 55 lectures on national and international conferences and is author/co-author of about 65 presentations on national and international meetings. He served as invited reviewer for about 20 scientific journals in the fields of pediatric neurology, neuroradiology, neurogenetics and neuroscience.
